My Writing
I have been writing stories, poems, blogs and content since high school. This is my absolute No1 passion in life!

Author
I published my first book in 2016 and have published 4 since. My second book “A Guide to Shadow Work” is a top performer in its category on Amazon with over 460 five star reviews and thousands of copies sold worldwide.
I would say my interest is ‘wisdom writing’, or self-help. My book ‘A Guide to Shadow Work’ lays out a practical and concise process for facing and dealing with one’s inner, and often unrecognized, trauma. I simplify and break down the steps to facing our coping mechanisms and projections which damage our interpersonal relationships and present workable steps to healing those negative barriers.
My readership found that the way I not only explain what Shadow Work is but also how to successfully carry out the inner work necessary to live a fulfilling life, helped them immensely on their personal healing journey.
Excerpt from A Guide to Shadow Work:
Our ego will ultimately fight against self-realisation as this will illuminate the parts of self we would prefer to hide in order to be liked by everyone. Our ego is afraid of rejection and from being disliked.
Darkness refers to the subconscious, that which is not seen, and light refers to consciousness, that which is seen and therefore known.
When we transmute energy from dark to light, we are taking energy from the subconscious, or unconscious, which has been pulling the strings of our existence from backstage and causing us much pain in our lives, and we are shedding light on it simply by becoming conscious of it.
Once we are conscious of the painful aspect, the Shadow, we can begin to learn from it and understand why it is there and accept it as part of ourselves.
Acceptance is one of the key elements of the love energy and once we accept the Shadow we begin to transmute the energy into a higher frequency and ultimately into light and love.
This is how we unravel ourselves and heal the Shadow.

"Michelle's writing is captivating and she paints beautiful pictures with her words. In relation to her own content, which I publish in my magazine, she has a gift of writing profoundly deep stuff in a way that comes across as though she were sitting in front of you, speaking directly to you, face to face, heart to heart. Her articles are always beautifully written and thought provoking. It is an honor to publish her work. Her approach is always from the heart and imbued with love."

Lineage & Legacy
"As a young Jewish boy in a Jewish community I was always surrounded by a rich heritage. I was lucky to have access to books and artefacts that were handed down and cared for over many generations.
My journey with Genealogy began when I was a young boy and attended a Shul in Yeoville, Johannesburg. At the back of the shul there was a library of books and one thing I can remember, as if it were yesterday, was the distinct smell of the books which was similar to that of
old oak wood, a musty smell which conjured up feelings of intrigue and nostalgia. It is difficult for me
to understand how people nowadays purchase and read books on their electronic devices because
for me it is always so beautiful to hold a book and feel its texture and to be able to breathe in the
richness of its pages."

Leading Through Legacy

"Nelson Mandela (cited, in Khoza, 2013) states that “true leadership is given to those whose energy derives from deep within, in the spiritual dimension of the self rather than in managerial or technical expertise.” At one of the greatest pivotal points in our history, each of us will need to look deeply within our personal spiritual dimension as we navigate ascending beyond the challenges that lie before us.

Globally, many leaderships teams have been grappling with advancing their businesses, strategies and culture to enable transformation relating to customer centricity, client experience and digitization. Thought Leader, Reuel Khoza, wrote in his book ‘Let Africa Lead - African Transformational Leadership for 21st Century Business’, that every new era in business brings forth unforeseen qualities of business leadership.

Universally the biggest event of our lifetimes, the COVID-19 pandemic, has in a short amount of time fundamentally and forever changed our experience as customers, employees, citizens, humans and leaders around the world. The negative emotional impact has led to fear, chaos and confusion about what the present and the future holds. Now more than ever, there is a call for leaders to uplift and inspire. This, in conjunction with the other transformations already in motion, adds a level of complexity organizations and leadership teams will need to embrace and navigate."

The Dawn of a New Era

"Reiger (2011) explains that "a company's worst enemy is not always the competition; sometimes it's the fear that lives within its own walls”. A powerful statement and if we look with honesty, can we see where this has been true within ourselves and our organisations? Where have we limited ourselves? What ethos is being cultivated, one that denotes scarcity or possibility? The challenge many leaders and organisations face, as humanity ushers in a new paradigm of collective awareness, is finding solutions to overcome these fears whilst not exasperating them or falling into unhealthy business structures."

A global shift is evident. Regardless of country or race or status, I think we all agree on this. As we progress deeper into the impact of this global shift in consciousness, it is important to understand the nature of organisational transformation. Barrett (2010) explains that change implies a new way of doing, and transformation implies a new way of being.
Successful organisational transformation necessitates advancement in the businesses ‘personality’ and how things are done, as well as its behaviours and way of being, which is essentially the evolution of its essence or ethos. This process of transformation guides and molds the very nature of the individual, and what is business but an organized group of evolving individuals with a vision and purpose."
